Protein Cookies

Cookies don’t exactly fall under the ‘diet friendly’ category. We all know this.

Yes, you can buy those stupid 100 calorie packs filled with the crumbs of what once was a cookie. You can buy those prepackaged things that claim to be ‘brownies’ for 90 calories, or the Weight Watches ‘cake’ that tastes like a dish sponge. You can pay a lot of money for these preservative-filled, excessively packaged, deceptively marketed, poor tasting excuses for dessert, OR you can make my protein cookies.

Shockingly easy and thrown together in about 9 seconds (with ingredients you likely already have), my protein cookie is the answer to all of your dessert prayers!

You’re gonna need:

1 Banana (the riper the better)

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I like the PC Whey or the IsoFemme– both have about 28g protein for 110 cal)

1/2-3/4 c oats (use less if you’d like them more pancake-y, more if you’d like ‘em more solid)

1/8 c ground flax seeds

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Makes four big cookies

Preheat your over to 325. Break your banana up into pieces, and throw it into a bowl.

Mash ‘em up with a fork, and add your protein powder…

Add your oats, flax, and vanilla…

And stir all together.

I know it looks like babyfood at the moment, but have faith in the final product…

Spray your baking sheet with pam. Spoon your batter directly onto the sheet, forming four cookies.

Bake for around 8 minutes (but be sure to keep an eye on them– every oven is different).

Tah-dah! Delicious without any butter, any sugar, or any even remotely bad-for-you ingredients. Easily the most natural dessert option out there, beyond easy, and SO good!
